In Preppies of the Apocalypse, Kit Garrett is a newly-transferred senior at Riversmeet Preparatory. Kit's adoptive parents were recently the victims of a vicious unsolved double murder, which has left Kit as the unwanted ward of his icy older sister Ivy Garrett, Riversmeet's librarian.

Well, crap. That could only be Kit, fair-haired and fragile and in trouble, as usual. He was engaged in some kind of physical altercation with another student, someone bigger and stronger than her baby brother. The bigger kid pinned Kit down on the field. Beneath him, Kit flailed and struggled.
