In Lonely Satellite, Mark Ferris is the Western Division Chief of Zephyr Security, based out of Las Vegas. Back in 2001, Ferris was hired by Joel Sutton to kill Maggie Sparks during her visit to Las Vegas to open the new convention center. Ferris shot Laurie Sparks, who was traveling with his mother, in the chest as well, though Laurie survived the attack and made his way to the Benedictine monastery in the Nevada desert.
